Swansea make Clement priority

Bayern Munich assistant Paul Clement is among the options being considered for the vacant manager’s job at Swansea, Sky sources understand.

The former Derby boss was interviewed for the post back in October but lost out to Bob Bradley, who was sacked on Tuesday following the 4-1 loss to West Ham on Boxing Day.

However, Sky Sports News HQ understands the Swansea board gave Clement serious consideration and were very impressed with his presentation.

Wales boss Chris Coleman remains the favourite with the bookmakers for the job but we are told that, as yet, no approach has been made.

Other names in the frame are former Birmingham manager Gary Rowett and the experienced Harry Redknapp, although it’s believed Swansea are not planning to approach the former QPR and Tottenham manager.
