Wade bullies Smith away

James Wade recovered from 3-1 down to reach the quarter-finals of the World Darts Championship at the expense of Michael ‘Bully Boy’ Smith.
Seventh seed Wade won 4-3 at Alexandra Palace to reach the last eight of the competition where he will play Peter ‘Snakebite’ Wright, despite being one leg away from elimination on Thursday.
Smith needed just 24 darts to power through the first two legs, immediately threatening to follow-up the 2014 win against Phil Taylor on this stage that forged his burgeoning reputation.
