No Redmond appeal from Saints
- Updated: December 29, 2016
Southampton will not appeal Nathan Redmond’s red card against Tottenham, manager Claude Puel has confirmed.
The forward was shown a straight card for bringing down Dele Alli in thr 4-1 defeat at St Mary’s, live on Sky Sports 1HD on Wednesday.
Sky Sports pundit Jamie Redknapp felt the punishment was harsh after it appeared that Redmond’s contact on Alli, who was awarded a penalty for the foul, was minimal.
