Ukraine – Superleague Round 23: Easy game for Kryvbas which smash VolinBasket by 35 points

IgorBoyarkin10th ranked VolinBasket (3-17) was outscored at home by fourth ranked Kryvbas (14-5) with the biggest margin this round 83-48 on Tuesday night. The guests trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 83-48. Kryvbas forced 25 VolinBasket turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Worth to mention a quality performance of point guard Igor Boyarkin (182-95) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 11 points, 5 rebounds, 10 assists and 5 steals. Anatoliy Shundel (191-93, agency: AproK Sports Group) helped adding 16 points and 4 assists. Guard Oleg Rudakov (190-94, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) responded with 13 points and 8 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Kryvbas have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to third place. VolinBasket lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with 17 games lost. In the last game of round 23 VolinBasket lost to Kryvbas on the opponent’s court 65-81.
