Ivanovic retires from tennis

Former world No 1 and French Open winner Ana Ivanovic has announced her retirement from tennis at the age of 29.
Ivanovic confirmed several recent injuries are the reason for her decision to call time on a 13-year professional career which peaked with victory at Roland Garros in 2008, the year she reached the summit of the women’s rankings.
“I have decided to retire from professional tennis,” Ivanovic said in a video posted on her Facebook page. “It has been a difficult decision but there is so much to celebrate. I began dreaming about tennis …
