Mercedes hopes to test Valentino Rossi

Toto Wolff said he wants to get MotoGP rider Valentino Rossi and rally driver Sebastien Ogier into the Mercedes seats.
The team boss is looking to fill retired champion Nico Rosberg’s spot and is eying test drives with seven-time MotoGP world champion Rossi and four-time world rally champion Ogier, although the focus remains on securing Williams driver Valtteri Bottas.
Wolff said it is an exciting prospect to get the two outsiders in a Formula One car, despite neither being expected to be offered the job full-time.
