Lausanne, Switzerland, December 26, 2016 – Reigning European champions and 2016 FIVB World Championship runners-up Pomi Casalmaggiore finished the first half of the Regular Season atop the standings of the Italian women’s A1 League after a hard-earned five-set win over Metalleghe Montichiari, Monday evening.Croatia’s Samanta Fabris was unsurprisingly the top scorer for Pomi, bagging 26 points of which 3 were aces and 2 were blocks, as the home side outlasted Montichiari 3-2 (19-25, 25-14, 20-25, 25-12, 15-12).
