NaurisMiezis Forward Nauris Miezis (189-F-91) put on an amazing game in the last round for Kekava (they play in Places 1-1), receiving a Eurobasket.com LBL2 Player of the Week award for round 2 (Second Stage).The 25-year old player had a double-double of 32 points and 10 rebounds, while his team edged out ViA (#3, 7-2) 80-79. The game was between two of the league’s top four teams. Thanks to this victory Kekava moved-up to the 1st position in Latvian LBL2. It’s already very far into the season and Kekava keeps a perfect 8-0 record. In the team’s last game Miezis had a remarkable six three-pointers out of 11 attempts. He turned to be Kekava’s top player in his first season with the team. Nauris Miezis has solid league stats. He is in league’s top in points (3rd best: 23.6ppg) and averages impressive 3.8spg and 59.0% FGP.The second best player in last round’s games was 29-year old Janis Lasmanis (199-F/C-87) of Ogre/Kumho Tyre.
