Mariners sign Waldrop to Minor League deal

SEATTLE — Kyle Waldrop, a 25-year-old outfielder who played 15 games with the Reds last season, has signed a Minor League contract with the Mariners that includes an invitation to the Major League camp in February.
Waldrop became a free agent after being designated for assignment by the Reds in September. He hit .227 with a double and one RBI in 22 at-bats for Cincinnati last season, and also had one at-bat for the big league club in 2015.
