Former manager posts video of ‘retired UFC champion’ Conor McGregor training

Conor McGregor’s former manager posted a video of McGregor training Wednesday on Facebook. In the post, Halli Nelson, the father of UFC fighter Gunnar Nelson and McGregor’s first manager, referred to the Irishman as a “retired UFC champion.” The video of McGregor and Gunnar Nelson training together was taken this week at Mjolnir Gym in Iceland.
McGregor, the UFC featherweight champion, tweeted Tuesday that he was retiring young, an overture that sent the sports world into a tizzy. “The Notorious” was supposed to face Nate Diaz in a rematch at UFC 200 on July 9 in Las Vegas.
