Volleyball Canada looks back and forward after brilliant 2016

Lausanne, Switzerland, December 23, 2016 – Canadian volleyball has been growing steadily in recent years and 2016 will go down as one of the most successful years in Volleyball Canada history.
For the first time in 24 years, a Canadian men’s volleyball squad competed at the Olympics, along with an unprecedented contingent of four Canadian beach volleyball pairs. In fact, just as many Canadian volleyball players jetted off to Rio 2016 as there were at the 1996, 2000, 2004, 2008 and 2012 Games combined.
The stars were aligned for the indoor programme in June when, after a long and arduous journey spanning over two decades, Volleyball Canada’s men captured one of four remaining spots available at the World Olympic Qualification …
