Celtics’ Olynyk (shoulder) questionable vs. Hawks

Boston Celtics coach Brad Stevens said backup big man Kelly Olynyk, who sat out Tuesday’s Game 2 loss to the Atlanta Hawks, is questionable for Friday’s Game 3.
“I would say that it would be questionable [for Olynyk] based on my conversations today with [team trainer] Ed Lacerte, but I have not talked to Kelly today, so I don’t know if it would be better or worse than that,” said Stevens.
The Celtics have been beset by injuries since the start of the playoffs. Stevens said guard Avery Bradley underwent an MRI on his strained right hamstring on Wednesday, but he did not have an immediate update. He did deem Bradley “out this weekend,” and reaffirmed that he’s “very unlikely for the rest of the series.”

In more positive injury news for Boston, Stevens said that he expects guard Marcus Smart, who elevated to Bradley’s starting role, to participate in practice on Thursday after bruising his ribs in the first quarter of Tuesday’s Game 2.
