Steward hit with 10-day suspension

Apprentice Louis Steward was hit with a 10-day ban for failing to ride out General Hazard for third place in the Betway Handicap at Wolverhampton.
The stewards found he had appeared stop riding shortly before the winning post and was beaten a short-head for third spot on the Michael Bell-trained gelding by Zephyros in the nine-and-a-half-furlong contest won by Maifalki.
The 3lb claimer is stood down from January 5-7, 9-14 and 16.
