Source: Pirates re-sign Nova to 3-year deal

Their search for cost-controllable starting pitching never over, the Pirates filled a rotation spot in a team-friendly way Thursday.
An industry source confirmed to MLB.com that Pittsburgh has re-signed veteran right-hander Ivan Nova to a three-year contract worth $26 million. FanRag Sports first reported the deal, which contains a $2 million signing bonus. MLB Network Insider Ken Rosenthal added the deal is pending a physical. The club has not commented.
