Report: JVG, Brooks ‘co-favorites’ in Houston

The Houston Rockets’ season is technically not over, so it feels a bit odd that there are new reports about their coaching search every day. On Wednesday, it was reported that Jeff Van Gundy was atop their list. On Thursday, ESPN’s Marc Stein reported that Scott Brooks is a “co-favorite” for the job, alongside Van Gundy, adding that the Rockets are hoping that Brooks does not agree to coach the Washington Wizards before they are eliminated.
