On Wednesday, the Philadelphia Eagles traded up to get the No. 2 overall pick in next week’s NFL draft from the Cleveland Browns.
If the Los Angeles Rams at No. 1 and Eagles at No. 2 each take a quarterback, it will be the seventh time in the common draft era (since 1967) that QBs will have been selected 1-2 overall.
It also would mark the second time that quarterbacks went 1-2 in consecutive drafts. It also happened in in 1998 and 1999.
