NFL Power Rankings 2016: Week 16 Conference Standings and Latest Super Bowl Odds

Week 16 of the NFL season is set to get underway in just a couple of days. The week is going to bring with it plenty of playoff implications.

We saw this past week carry quite a bit of postseason impact as well. The New England Patriots won the AFC East, the Seattle Seahawks took the NFC West crown and the Oakland Raiders retook the lead in the AFC West.

The playoff landscape is still very much unsettled, though Week 16 will likely settle a lot. Where do the 31 franchises stand? That’s exactly what we’re going to examine here.

We’ll be looking at the conference standings in playoff-seeding format, meaning division-leaders will be at the top. We’ll also be power ranking the 32 teams based on their current Super Bowl odds, courtesy of OddsShark.com.

We will also examine some of the most interesting teams to watch over the final two weeks of the season.

Tennessee Titans (50-1)

The Tennessee Titans have proved themselves to be a dangerous team over the past couple of weeks, knocking off both the Denver Broncos and the Kansas City Chiefs. Now, the Titans have an opportunity to make a run at the AFC South title.

If the Titans can make it past the Jacksonville Jaguars this week, they’ll set up a fight with the Houston Texans for the division crown in the season finale. If the Titans can do that, they’ll then be hosting a playoff game.

While the Titans might not seem like a tough postseason out at first glance, they would present a tough challenge. Tennessee’s offense has thrived behind the hard running of DeMarco Murray and the dual-threat capabilities of quarterback Marcus Mariota.

As a team, the Titans are now rated fifth overall by Pro Football Focus for the season.

This offense has been good enough to cut through quality defenses like the ones possessed by the Broncos and the Chiefs. Tennessee would carry the potential to do the same to a visiting playoff team.
