Schubert leaves Monchengladbach

Borussia Monchengladbach have parted company with coach Andre Schubert.
The 45-year-old, who succeeded Lucien Favre last September on an interim basis before the appointment was made permanent two months later, leaves with the club in 14th place in the Bundesliga, only two points above the bottom three.
Tuesday night’s 2-1 home defeat to fellow strugglers Wolfsburg in their last match before the winter break proved the final straw.
