The pressure is on Arsenal after two straight defeats have left the North London club nine points adrift of Chelsea. Manager Arsene Wenger has seen his team twice blow 1-0 leads and lose away games against Everton then City.

The toughness of Wenger’s squad—the resilience and effort of his players—have been widely questioned since. Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville, speaking on Monday Night Football (h/t Sky Sports), criticised the pace of Arsenal’s performance during the 2-1 defeat to City:
