Portugal – Ogungbemi-Jackson number one in Portugal for round 12

JarredOgungbemi-Jackson Canadian Point guard Jarred Ogungbemi-Jackson (178-PG-91) put on an amazing game in the last round for second-ranked Galitos-Barreiro, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 12.The 25-year old player was the main contributor (28 points, three rebounds and four assists) to his team’s victory, helping them to beat Lusitania (#10, 3-9) 89-77. Galitos-Barreiro is placed at 2nd position in Portuguese LPB. They are still close to the very top. Galitos-Barreiro would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 10-2 record. In the team’s last game Ogungbemi-Jackson had a remarkable 85.7% from 2-point range and got five three-pointers out of 7 attempts. It’s his second year at Galitos-Barreiro and it’s hard to imagine this team without him. Jarred Ogungbemi-Jackson averages this season 20.8ppg and 4.8apg. The second best player in last round’s games was 30-year old former international center David Gomes (200-C-86) of Maia Basket.
