Lausanne, Switzerland, December 19, 2016 – Rio 2016 champions Laura Ludwig and Kira Walkenhorst rounded off a glorious 12 months by being voted as Germany’s Sports Team of the Year.
The pair who became the first European women’s team to win Olympic gold when they triumphed on Copacabana Beach, beat off the challenge of Germany’s men’s handball and football teams to triumph.
