Finland – Morris’ double-double lands him Player of the Week award

Dom Morris 26-year old forward Dom Morris (201-F-90) put on an amazing game in the last round for Lapua and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 17.He had a double-double of 28 points and 14 rebounds, while his team beat KTP Basket (#9, 5-11) 85-76. Lapua maintains the 5th position in Finnish league. Lapua is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 7-9 record. In the team’s last game Morris had a remarkable 57.1% from 2-point range. It’s his second year at Lapua and it’s hard to imagine this team without him. Boston University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Morris is in league’s top in points (5th best: 18.7ppg) and averages solid 58.7% FGP.Second best performed player last round was Gerald Lee (208-C-87) of top-ranked Helsinki Seagulls. He is naturalized American center in his first season at Helsinki Seagulls. In the last game Lee recorded impressive double-double of 23 points and 11 rebounds.
