The Nigeria Football Federation says it is satisfied with the way grants from Fifa have been sent
Nigeria’s sports minister Solomon Dalung has called for a “reputable audit” of the country’s football federation.
It comes over claims of irregularities in the use of Fifa grants.
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has denied claims by Dalung that claims there is $802,000 (£656,500) unaccounted for in its finances.
The discrepancy has lead to world football’s governing body halting its annual $1.1 million grant to Nigeria.
The federation insists there were no distortions during an earlier audit and that ‘the minister was clearly misinformed about the activities of the NFF board’.
The audit report must be made public so as to promote transparency, build credibility and enhance your market value.
