Local lads in Merseyside derby

Everton and Liverpool go head-to-head in the Merseyside derby on Monday Night Football.
The encounter will feature players from all over the world, but there are also some Liverpool locals who could be involved.
From Leighton Baines to Trent Alexander-Arnold, we pick out the five Liverpudlians in the frame for inclusion…
Leighton Baines
Kirkby-born Baines will be the most experienced Liverpudlian to feature in Monday’s meeting. The 32-year-old, who has started each of Everton’s last five games since returning from injury, is a veteran of the Merseyside derby having made his first appearance as a late substitute during a 2-1 defeat at Goodison Park in October 2007.
He has only been on the winning side twice in 17 meetings since then. It’s a record he will be desperate to improve on in Monday Night Football, but the left-back will be sternly tested by Liverpool’s fluid attack, especially with the rapid Sadio Mane occupying their right flank with support from the in-form Adam Lallana.
