Marlins add righty reliever Guerra to mix
- Updated: December 17, 2016
MIAMI — Along with pursuing some established relievers, the Marlins have also completed a more low-profile deal. The team on Saturday signed right-hander Javy Guerra, who has 30 big league saves, to a Minor League contract with an invitation to Spring Training.
Guerra, 31, previously pitched for Miami manager Don Mattingly when the two were with the Dodgers. In 2011, the righty saved 21 games in 23 chances with Los Angeles.
