Balkan League – Aleksandar Kostoski claims Balkan League weekly honour

AleksandarKostoski Aleksandar Kostoski (186-PG-88) had a great game in the last round for league’s leader Kumanovo and that’s him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 9.The 28-year old playmaker had the game-high 29 points adding seven rebounds and six assists for Kumanovo in his team’s victory, helping them to crush Sigal Prishtina (#5, 2-3) with 18-point margin 86-68. It allowed Kumanovo to consolidate first place in the Balkan League. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Kumanovo has a very solid 6-2 record, but they cannot be too comfortable about keeping top position. In the team’s last game Kostoski had a remarkable five three-pointers out of 9 attempts. He has many years of experience at Kumanovo, through which he has constantly improved. Kostoski has impressive league stats. He is in league’s top in points (6th best: 17.6ppg), assists (5th best: 4.4apg) and averages solid 78.3% FGP and 42.6% from behind 3-point line.The second most remarkable performance in last round’s games was 27-year old American forward Noah Dahlman (201-F-89) of Peja. Dahlman impressed basketball fans with 26 points and 5 rebounds. Bad luck …
