Hatch prepared for lengthy hospital stay

Ryan Hatch expects to be laid on his back in hospital for a “few more weeks” after fracturing his sternum and several vertebrae in a fall at Cheltenham last week.
Hatch took a tumble from Cogry in the Unicoin Group Handicap Chase and was initially taken to Gloucestershire Royal before being transferred to Bristol Southmead for further assessment where his problems were located.
