Bright start for Snakebite

Former runner-up Peter ‘Snakebite’ Wright won his opening match at the World Darts Championship on Friday night.
Wright prevailed 3-0 against Jerry Hendriks, a plucky Dutchman who briefly threatened to make his more esteemed opponent’s route into the second round an arduous one.
Wright, who lost in the 2014 final to Michael van Gerwen as the world No 16, returned this year as the third seed and swiftly established his authority with the first three legs against Hendriks.
