Auckland, New Zealand – December 16 – The USA Water Polo Women’s National Team’s hold on every major FINA Championship will come to an end in New Zealand as the Youth Women’s National Team was eliminated from medal contention following a 16-15 shootout loss to Russia. Aria Fischer (SET/SOPAC) and Sarah Klass (680 Water Polo/Pacific) scored two goals each in regulation with Heidi Ritner (CDM Aquatics/SOPAC) tallying 15 saves in net.
