Sidwell wins EFL Goal of the Month

Steve Sidwell has won the Sky Bet Championship Goal of the Month award for November.
The Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder received 43 per cent of the public vote for his sensational 50-yard strike in the Seagulls’ 2-0 victory at Bristol City, beating off competition from Derby County’s Darren Bent and Sheffield Wednesday’s Fernando Forestieri.
Sidwell showed incredible vision and faultless technique to hit a moving ball from the halfway line over the scrambling Richard O’Donnell in the Bristol goal.
“I had spotted the keeper off his line earlier in the game, and thought I would try my luck the next chance I got,” Sidwell said.
