Sogard among Brewers’ non-roster invitees

MILWAUKEE — Former A’s infielder Eric Sogard was among three more players added the Brewers’ Major League Spring Training roster on Thursday after signing Minor League contracts.
In addition to Sogard, Milwaukee signed left-hander Andy Oliver and re-signed right-hander Hiram Burgos, a former top Brewers prospect who will be entering his ninth season in the organization.
All three have played in the Majors, but 30-year-old Sogard has by far the most experience. A versatile infielder who primarily has appeared at second base, Sogard logged 1,331 plate appearances for Oakland from 2010-15, hitting .239/.295/.313.
