Troy Aikman Speaks on Jerry Jones’ Comments on Tony Romo, Dak Prescott

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has continued to make odd comments suggesting Tony Romo could see the field this season, despite rookie quarterback Dak Prescott being the team’s starter.
And former Cowboys quarterback Troy Aikman doesn’t understand Jones’ motivation for making such remarks.
“I’m not sure that Tony, if it was left up to the owner, wouldn’t be the starter now, just based on the comments that I’ve heard in the last couple weeks,” Aikman said Thursday on KTCK-AM 1310 The Ticket, per the Dallas Morning News.
Questions have surfaced about Prescott’s play after a few mediocre games and a loss to the New York Giants on Sunday night. While any struggles from Prescott were always likely to fan the QB controversy flames, Jones has seemingly thrown a few logs on the fire himself.
