Yankees prospect Figueredo shot, killed in Venezuela

NEW YORK — Yankees pitching prospect Alexander Figueredo was shot and killed in his home country of Venezuela on Nov. 27, the team has confirmed. He was 20 years old.
According to a Venezuelan report from Notitarde, Figueredo was fatally shot in the early morning hours of Nov. 27 while attending at a house party in the municipality of Guacara.
