Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts wants to help Manziel

Wrestling legend Jake “The Snake” Roberts wants to help Johnny Manziel. Roberts, who four years ago was addicted to drugs and alcohol, admits he was ready to give up — “ready to die” — before former protege Diamond Dallas Page saved his life.
Roberts, now 60, tells his story in his documentary, “The Resurrection of Jake the Snake,” and now he wants to pay it forward.
“I’m trying to reach out to [professional wrestler] Marty Jannetty right now, but I’m not having a whole lot of luck,” Roberts told SI.com. “But that doesn’t mean I’m giving up.
“I’ve also been reaching out to Johnny Manziel many times. He’s not coming along, but I’ll keep reaching out. I just wonder how much more he’s going to have to suffer …
