Cook hopes Wilshere stays

Bournemouth defender Steve Cook believes Jack Wilshere is flourishing on the south coast and hopes he’ll prolong his stay beyond the end of the season.
England midfielder Wilshere, 24, is on a season-long loan at the Vitality Stadium from Arsenal, and has made 12 appearances in the Premier League so far.
“Obviously he wanted to challenge himself and play regular football, and he saw that [opportunity] here,” Cook told Sky Sports News HQ. “He’s a great lad and a great player to have in our team and around in training.
“I think it’s been a great decision for him and the team, obviously he’s playing great football and he’s really fitted in well. He’s really flourishing and showing the world how good he is.
“He can help take Bournemouth to the next level, and hopefully if we can keep him fit and keep him enjoying his football, it would be nice to have him here for longer than this year.”
Bournemouth have impressed so far in their second Premier League season, and head into the weekend 10th in the table.
Despite that, Cook believes there is more to come from the Cherries and hopes they’ll be able to find more consistency in the second half of the season.
