Nico Rosberg stunned the world of motorsport when he announced his retirement from Formula 1 just days after winning his maiden Driver’s Championship title.

Even his paymasters at Mercedes were shocked, as they had no inkling he would quit the sport and are now scrambling to find a replacement in time for the new season.
