Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has reportedly been eyeing RSC Anderlecht winger Frank Acheampong as he plans to add further strength to his squad.
According to Steve Goodman in the Sun, Klopp has had the Ghana international watched on several occasions, while Sunderland and Newcastle United have also shown interest in the pacy 23-year-old.
Goodman added that the £6 million-rated Acheampong can play as both a left-winger and a left-back, likely attractive versatility for Klopp and Liverpool given the Reds’ issues on the left of defence.
James Milner has been almost an ever-present for Liverpool at left-back in 2016-17, but it is not his natural position, and Alberto Moreno remains a defensive liability.
