James Anderson out of Chennai Test
- Updated: December 15, 2016
England fast bowler James Anderson will miss the fifth Test against India, in Chennai, due to “general soreness”, Alastair Cook has said. Cook was talking at the pre-match presser on the eve of the match.
Until the second Test of the series, Anderson had not played since August due to a stress fracture in his right shoulder. He played the second, third and fourth matches.
England go into the Chennai Test already having lost the series 3-0.
