Chelsea won their 10th Premier League game in a row as they scraped to a 1-0 win over Sunderland at the Stadium of Light, while Manchester United left it late to beat Crystal Palace 2-1.
Manchester City got back to winning ways with a 2-0 win over Watford, but Liverpool remain a point ahead after dispatching Middlesbrough 3-0.
Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur comfortably beat Hull City 3-0, Southampton drew 0-0 with 10-man Stoke City and West Ham United eased past Burnley 1-0.
