Liverpool Transfer News: Latest Rumours on Mahmoud Dahoud and Gregoire Defrel
- Updated: December 14, 2016
Juventus have reportedly travelled to Germany to try to close a deal for reported Liverpool transfer target Mahmoud Dahoud, while Sassuolo’s Gregoire Defrel continues to be linked with the Reds.
According to SportItalia (h/t Calciomercato’s Edo Dalmonte), the Bianconeri are keen to sign both Borussia Monchengladbach’s Dahoud and Schalke’s Leon Goretzka, prompting the team to move early and travel to Germany.
Dahoud has been linked with several top clubs, including Manchester City and the Reds, per the Liverpool Echo’s Joe Rimmer. Per the report, the Reds tried to sign Dahoud during the summer.
The young midfielder is widely regarded as one of the top talents in the Bundesliga and a future Germany international, explaining the high level of interest in his services.
His current contract is said to include a clause of less than £10 million set to become active at the end of the season. He has no plans on renewing his contract, per Dalmonte, and Gladbach could choose to cash in before the clause can be triggered.
Here’s a look at some of his highlights:
