Walsh happy with Djakadam return

Ruby Walsh declared himself to be happy with Djakadam’s winning return in the John Durkan Memorial Punchestown Chase on Sunday.
The Willie Mullins-trained seven-year-old won by a length and quarter and the same from Outlander and Sub Lieutenant on his seasonal reappearance.
Djakadam was rated 13lbs and 11lbs superior to the pair that chased him home and Walsh admitted that the result was expected.
“I suppose on ratings he was entitled to win but he didn’t do anything that we didn’t think he was capable of doing,” he said.
