NBA Trade Rumors: Latest Buzz Surrounding Andrew Bogut, Nerlens Noel and More

There are still about two months until the 2016-17 NBA trade deadline, but rumors are starting to heat up as teams locate potential targets.
With more than the first quarter of the season completed, organizations are well aware of where they need help on the court. The next step is to identify the teams that are out of contention and willing to part with quality players for draft picks or cap space.
Although actual trades might take some time to complete, the latest rumors could lead to some interesting moves in the coming weeks.
Celtics Pursuing Bogut

The Boston Celtics are seemingly always involved in rumors for big names. Although the latest buzz doesn’t feature a superstar, it does include someone who could help the team contend in the Eastern Conference.
According to CSN New England, the “Celtics are expected to take a close look at adding a defensive-minded, rebounding big man with Dallas’ Andrew Bogut likely to emerge as a target.”
Tim MacMahon of ESPN.com reported that while the Dallas Mavericks don’t want to trade the center yet, they “could become motivated to move him” in exchange for a first-round draft pick once they fall out of contention.
Dallas (4-17) has the worst record in the Western Conference.
The Celtics will have to wait for Bogut to get healthy—he is out with a knee injury—but when healthy, he could be a valuable addition for the second half of the season and the playoffs.
Bogut doesn’t provide much on the offensive end, but he represents much-needed depth in the frontcourt. He is especially valuable as a rim-protector, averaging 1.6 blocks per game over the course of his career.
