Tottenham vs. CSKA Moscow: Score and Reaction from 2016 Champions League Match

Tottenham Hotspur came from behind to beat CSKA Moscow 3-1 during Wednesday’s UEFA Champions League action, booking a spot in the UEFA Europa League in the process.
Alan Dzagoev gave the visitors a shock lead against the run of play, but Dele Alli and Harry Kane turned the situation around before half-time.
After the break, goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev gifted Spurs a two-goal lead with an own goal, and that was enough for the hosts to see the match out.
As Spurs’ official Twitter account shared, Toby Alderweireld was fit to take a spot on the bench, while Harry Winks made another start:
The two teams entered the match with a ticket to the Europa League on the line, with Bayer Leverkusen and AS Monaco already assured of the top two spots in Group E.
The match started at a positive pace, with Spurs looking to push up the pitch early. Alli should have opened the score after just six minutes, missing a header from close range after a good cross from Christian Eriksen.
Akinfeev made his first stop of the match after 11 minutes, denying Heung-Min Son after a well-worked attack from the hosts.

Akinfeev started the contest well, however, producing another fine save to stop Eriksen from scoring. Spurs kept pushing forward, mustering chance after chance, but the hosts struggled with their finishing, as Kane fired wide from a promising position.
