Gillick honored with Roland Hemond Award

NATIONAL HARBOR, Md. — Pat Gillick is one of the most successful front-office executives in baseball history, which is why he earned a spot in the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2011. Gillick received further recognition this week at the Winter Meetings.
Baseball America presented Gillick its Roland Hemond Award for long-term contributions to scouting and player development. Gillick is a part owner of the Phillies, also serving as a senior advisor to the president and general manager.
