2-hit game stirs trade memories for Frenchy

ATLANTA — After notching a pair of key RBIs and two hits during Tuesday night’s 8-1 win over the Dodgers, Jeff Francoeur did not have to think long when he was asked whether he remembered when he had last recorded a multi-hit game for the Braves.
“Oh yeah, Colorado, the day before I was traded,” Francoeur said. “Two doubles or three doubles.”
Francoeur notched three doubles during a July 9, 2009, game against the Rockies and then returned to Coors Field the following afternoon to learn he had been traded to the Mets in exchange for Ryan Church.
When asked if he will be worried about a repeat of events upon returning to Turner Field on Wednesday, Francoeur smiled and took the high road by saying, “I guess I could say something, but I’m not going to.”
