NATIONAL HARBOR, Md. — The D-backs are close to an agreement with free-agent reliever Fernando Rodney, a source told MLB.com Tuesday night.
The club has not confirmed the news, which was first reported by MLB Network Insider Jon Heyman.
The D-backs have been searching for help for the back end of their bullpen, after dealing veterans Brad Ziegler and Tyler Clippard prior to last year’s Trade Deadline.
