Derrick Rose Injury: Updates on Knicks Star’s Back and Return

The New York Knicks announced guard Derrick Rose suffered a back injury during Tuesday’s game against the Miami Heat and was ruled out for the remainder of the contest.

Rose Injury Details Revealed Tuesday, Dec. 6
The Knicks noted it was back spasms ailing their point guard.
This is another physical setback for Rose in a career defined by them. The three-time All-Star and 2010-11 MVP was once one of the most athletic and exciting playmakers in the league, but injuries sapped him of much of his potential as a game-changing talent in the NBA.
Coming into Tuesday’s game, Rose was averaging 17 points and 4.9 assists per game in 2016-17.
