Champions League Results 2016: Tuesday Scores, Group Tables, Qualified Teams

Arsenal sealed an unlikely top spot in Group A as they thrashed Basel 4-1 while Paris Saint-Germain drew 2-2 at home to Ludogorets in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday.
The Gunners knew they needed to better PSG’s result to qualify to the last 16 as group winners and Lucas Perez was the key contributor at St. Jakob-Park as he netted a hat-trick.
Besiktas fell to a 6-0 humiliation at Dynamo Kiev to squander their chance of progressing to the next round, with Napoli advancing as Group B winners ahead of Benfica following their 2-1 victory in Lisbon.
Groups C and D had little riding on them on the final matchday, but Bayern Munich did earn a 1-0 win over Atletico Madrid to rob the Spanish side of a perfect record.

Arsenal were 2-0 ahead inside 16 minutes against Basel as Perez turned home twice from close range.
The summer signing then completed his treble just after the break, finishing well into the corner of the net, before Alex Iwobi claimed a fourth for the Gunners and Seydou Doumbia a consolation for the hosts 12 minutes from time.
Per the Guardian’s Daniel Harris, Basel were hardly the fiercest of opponents on the night, but Arsenal did their job excellently having needed a win to give them the best chance of top spot:
