Shelvey, Dummett win appeals

Newcastle United have appealed successfully against the red cards given to Jonjo Shelvey and Paul Dummett in their 2-1 defeat at Nottingham Forest last Friday.
Referee Steve Martin sent off Shelvey in the 33rd minute after the Newcastle midfielder appeared to kick out at Forest captain Henri Lansbury when the two were grappling on the ground.
Newcastle were then reduced to nine men in first-half stoppage-time when defender Dummett was adjudged to have denied Forest an obvious goal scoring opportunity after bundling …
