Zinedine Zidane insists Real Madrid are not prepared to settle for second place behind Borussia Dortmund in Champions League Group F.
The European champions need to beat Dortmund at the Bernabeu on Wednesday to secure top spot, and a home draw in the second leg of their round-of-16 clash.
However, with tournament rules stipulating teams from the same country are kept apart in the last 16 – ruling out the possibility of Real drawing Barcelona or Atletico Madrid – winning the group could prove more dangerous with Bayern Munich or Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City potential opponents.
“We’re only thinking about winning,” Zidane said. “We’re not going to look at or think about other things. We want to finish top of the group.”
